Piazza named 2026 Plains Man of the Year
Louis Piazza was named Plains Man of the Year for 2026.
It was a great turnout at the 45th Annual Plains Association Reunion at the Italian American Vets Post 40 in Milford as Louis Piazza was named the Plains Man of the Year for 2026.
A 1965 graduate of Milford High School, Lou has been such a positive fixture in the community, having served as a respected teacher, coach and valued friend, as well as an extremely talented chef and caterer who has treated a countless number of people over the years to his famous Italian feasts.
The reunion also featured Lisa Santoro, a recent resident to Milford, writer and historian, who provided a very informative talk about the history of Italian immigration to this country and the connection of the Sacco and Vanzetti story, particularly Nicola Sacco who lived here, to Milford.

At the 45th Annual Plains Association Reunion, Lisa Santoro gave a talk about the history of Italian immigration to the United States.
