BVT students earn 132 medals at SkillsUSA Competitions in 2025-26

UPTON – Blackstone Valley Regional Vocational Technical High School (BVT) students demonstrated their vocational-technical abilities at the SkillsUSA National Leadership & Skills Conference (NLSC), held in June in Atlanta. The annual event is the world's largest gathering of career and technical education students and highlights the critical role of career-ready skills.

The national conference marked the third and final stage of the SkillsUSA competition series. BVT students earned five bronze medals, while contestants who earned medals or met a threshold score for their event were also awarded skill point certificates representing achievement in demonstrating proficiency and workplace readiness.

“Our students welcome the opportunity to compete against themselves and other highly skilled students at the SkillsUSA district, state, and national championships," said Superintendent-Director Anthony E. Steele II. “During the 2025-26 school year, our students proved their technical skills are among the best in the country by earning 132 medals at all three levels.”

The following local BVT students placed among the top 30 competitors at the 2026 SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference. Additional information is available at www.valleytech.k12.ma.us/skillsusa.
