Letter to the Editor:

On behalf of the Upton Historical Society, I would like to express our sincere gratitude to the many local businesses and organizations that generously supported Upton Historical Society’s Antique Appraisal Day held on May 2. Thanks to their contributions, our raffle featured an exciting array of prizes and helped make the event both enjoyable for attendees and successful in raising important funds to preserve and promote Upton’s rich history.

We are especially grateful for the support of regional attractions such as the New England Botanic Garden, Southwick’s Zoo, and the Boston Red Sox. Our local restaurants also played a major role with generous contributions from Morgan's Harbor to Hill Seafood Market, 110 Grill, Upper Crust & Co., Maya, Red Rock, Dairy Queen, and Main St. Pizza.

In addition, we deeply appreciate the generosity of local service providers including Upton Dental Care, MGM Auto Repair, Hair Affair, Shear Excitement, Ray's Automotive, and Black Door Yoga. Retail and grocery businesses such as Target, Koopman Lumber, White Belle, Trader Joe's, Shaw's, Price Chopper, and Dunkin’ also contributed to the success of the event.

We would also like to recognize the unique items donated by Petal & Crumb, Red Barn Roasters, and Jack's Abby Craft Lagers, which added to the excitement of the raffle.

The generosity of these sponsors truly reflects the strength and spirit of our community. Their support enables the Upton Historical Society to continue its mission of preserving and sharing our town’s history for future generations.

We encourage residents to support these businesses as a way of thanking them for their ongoing commitment to our community.

Sincerely,

Barry Lynn
