Taylor named Deputy Superintendent for Instruction and Student Services
Kerry Taylor has been appointed the Deputy Superintendent for Instruction and Student Services for the Milford Public Schools.
The Milford Public Schools (MPS) is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Kerry Taylor as Deputy Superintendent for Instruction and Student Services.
The Deputy Superintendent for Instruction and Student Services serves as the district’s chief academic officer, providing visionary leadership, strategic planning, and district-wide accountability for the quality and equity of the PreK–12 instructional program. Reporting directly to the district superintendent, this position holds ultimate responsibility for the direction, coherence, and outcomes of all academic and student support services in the district. Ms. Taylor has signed a three-year contract.
Ms. Taylor brings a wealth of experience to this permanent appointment. Prior to serving as Interim Assistant Superintendent for Teaching & Learning since July 2025, she served as the Curriculum Supervisor of Mathematics for the MPS for six years, during which time she developed a strong record of improving curriculum and instructional practices across the district. She has also served as a high school math teacher in New Jersey and the Lawrence, MA, public schools. She also holds significant professional experience in curriculum development, instructional leadership, and educational data analysis. She has served as a curriculum writer for the Match Foundation in Boston; a practicum director for the Boston Public Schools; an instructional coach for the Center for Education Policy Research at Harvard University; and a math coach in the Walpole public schools.
Ms. Taylor has a bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education and Mathematics from Boston College, and a master’s degree in Learning and Teaching Instructional Leadership from Harvard University.
MPS Superintendent of Schools Dr. Craig Consigli expressed his enthusiasm for the appointment saying, “Kerry is an exceptional educational leader whose deep knowledge of curriculum and instructional best practices has been evident throughout her career in Milford. Her outstanding organizational and communication skills make her an effective collaborator with teachers, administrators, families, and the broader school community. I am confident that she will continue to have a tremendous positive impact on Teaching and Learning in our district, and I look forward to working alongside her in this permanent capacity.”

Her appointment reflects the Milford Public Schools’ commitment to promoting from within and building on the talent and institutional knowledge of its dedicated professional staff.
