Students in Ms. Leah Smith’s classroom at Stacy Middle School presented their opinions to Dr. Consigli on things they believe should change at school. They were so persuasive in their writing and in their presentations that Dr. Consigli agreed to a few of their opinions. Some opinions were very popular with multiple students, such as having more pizza days. Others were focused on how long the school day is and requested half days. (That one was not approved.) However, there were a few compromises: HVAC upgrades and new painting will be looked at by Dr. Consigli. Students did a great job with their writing assignment and public speaking! Luke Stachowski and Ana Julia Pereira recently received the Worcester County Superintendent's Association Scholar's Award.

Milford Public Schools Superintendent Craig Consigli recently honored six Milford High School seniors for their outstanding work in the classroom. Dr. Consigli had these seniors join him at a School Committee meeting to be recognized. Congratulations to these outstanding representatives of the Class of 2026. Dr. Consigli and School Committee Chair Mr. Matt Zacchilli with each award are pictured with each award winner.

Elise Cartier, a Milford High School Junior, recently represented the school at the 28th Annual French Language Oratorical Contest, sponsored by the Club Richelieu of Salem. Competing against students from area high schools, Elise was named a runner-up in the competition. Students delivered speeches in French responding to a prompt about social media and apps, discussing which platforms they use, how often they use them, and whether they can help with learning French.

Mr. Minh Lê, a highly acclaimed, award-winning author known for his impactful picture books and graphic novels for children, virtually visited Brookside's Kindergarten and Second Grade students this week. What an exciting and educational experience for our students! Thank you, Mrs. Lange Madden, for organizing this and thank you to our Brookside PTO for funding it!
