Milford High French students produce award winning videos
The Milford High School is pleased to announce that Class of 2027 students Catie Delaney and the group of Sophia Coelho, Emily Garcia, Isabella Grady-Harper, Fiona Lentini and Lucas Richard were all award winners in a national French education contest. Delaney placed first with her video, “Travailler.com,” earning a prize of $150. The group of Coelho, Garcia, Grady-Harper, Lentini, and Richard placed third in the contest and were awarded a $100 prize for their video submission, “Le Bonne Fée.”
The national contest was sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of French (AATF) in celebration of National French Week. Since 2013, the AATF has sponsored this student media contest to promote connections to Francophone themes, inviting students to create short videos or interactive media based on an annual prompt. This year’s theme was Design Your Future with French. This year’s competition was especially strong, with approximately 100 videos submitted from 40 schools across the United States.
