The Mendon Council on Aging is accepting nominations for the 2026 “Senior Citizen of the Year.” The deadline to submit is June 1. 

Since 1978, a deserving person (or persons) has been awarded the annual distinction of Senior Citizen of the Year. The chosen Mendon resident, age 60 or older, generally exemplifies a spirit of public service and has made a positive difference in the community. Written nominations on forms provided will be accepted until June 1 and the award will be presented in September. 

Nomination forms are available at the Mendon Senior Center or on-line at www.mendonma.gov from the Council on Aging home page. Please drop off or mail nominations to the Senior Center at 62 Providence Street, Mendon.
