The Nipmuc Drama Guild has concluded a remarkable fall season, marked by a highly successful and energetic production of “PUFFS.” This comedic spin-off, offering a humorous look at seven years within the Hufflepuff house, was a small glimpse into the guild’s dedication and talent.
Despite encountering stressful and overwhelming moments during staging and the week leading up to the show, the guild united and demonstrated its impressive perseverance. Their collaborative spirit showed in a fantastic production that resonated with audiences.
Looking ahead, the Nipmuc Drama Guild is already busy preparing for their next adventure: the beloved musical “Bye Bye Birdie.” This classic show is a hilarious satire of American pop culture in the 1950s, centering on a rock and roll superstar, Conrad Birdie, who is drafted into the army, and the chaos that arises when he publicly says goodbye to one lucky fan. The production is scheduled to open in February, promising to continue the guilds tradition of delivering engaging and memorable theatrical performances!
The Nipmuc Writing Center is a group of 12 students who meet during school hours. In this new class, students provide skills and pointers to other students to help them improve and grow in their writing, while also growing their own teaching skills.
