Pet of the Month: Emma, your future best friend

Outgoing and affectionate, Emma is a stunning 2-year-old Calico cat who’s eager to find a home to call her own. With her bright eyes and irresistible chirp, Emma greets every visitor like a long-lost friend. She’s a people-lover through and through, always keeping an eye on the door in hopes of company and cuddles.

Emma’s journey hasn’t been easy. She was born with cerebellar hypoplasia, also known as “wobbly cat syndrome.” While her movements may be a bit unsteady, Emma is fearless and determined. She climbs her cat condo with confidence always finding the perfect perch to observe her world—and she makes her way back down too! That said, she’d thrive in a home where someone is around to keep an eye on her.

It’s important to know that cerebellar hypoplasia is not painful, not contagious, and does not worsen over time. Cats with CH can live full, happy lives—and Emma is living proof.

Emma would love to be the only pet in her new home, just as she was in her first home. She’s happiest when she has her human’s undivided attention.

If you’d like to meet Emma and learn more about her, please visit Milford Humane Society during our Sunday adoption hours from 1 to 4 p.m. She’s waiting to chirp hello.
