At the June 10 business meeting of the Milford Lions Club, the group announced the recipients of the 2025 High School scholarships.

Each year the Milford Lions grant a single $1,500 scholarship to three Milford High School graduating seniors who are seeking a higher education. The criteria for this award include that the applicants must have a 3.0 or higher GPA, be enrolled in an accredited institution for the fall, and show commitment to the community through volunteerism. We also give special consideration to applicants who have impaired sight or hearing, diabetes, or other disclosed disabilities.

Lions Club members score each application based on the above criteria on a scale of 1-5 with 5 being the highest score for each category. The scores are tallied and the highest scores receive the scholarships. Every year it is a very difficult task as all the applicants are worthy!

The recipients from Milford High School were Veti Raval, Sarah Saad, and Benjamin Pezza.

This year, for the first time, the group opened up one $1,500 scholarship to a Hopedale Jr-Sr High School graduating senior, and was awarded to Madelyn DiMaio.

Congratulations to all the winners and we wish you continued success in all your future endeavors.
