Grant awarded Friends of Mendon Elders 2025 Scholarship

The Friends of Mendon Elders are proud to announce that Madison Grant has been awarded their 2025 Scholarship. Madison is graduating from the Mendon Upton School System and will be heading to the University of Tampa, Tampa Florida in the fall with a goal of working toward a degree in Psychology and Biology. This scholarship recognizes exceptional academic achievement, leadership potential, and community involvement.

Madison stood out among a highly competitive pool of applicants, impressing the selection committee with her academic record, commitment to community service, and passion for student government and sports. 

As noted in her letter of recommendation Madison is a role model among her peers, she blends academic excellence with an enthusiasm for activities both as part of a team and as a leader.

Madison is a Nipmuc National Honor Society participant maintaining a 3.7 grade point average. She has been on the honor roll or high honor roll for all four years of her High School Career. She is a member of the Nipmuc Student Council, Peer Leadership Committee and Writing Club. She also participated in the varsity soccer and basketball programs. Madison has gone above and beyond in academics and extracurricular activities, earning the respect and admiration of both faculty and classmates.

Madison also has a high degree of commitment to community service. She volunteers for the New England Epilepsy Group where she works to bring awareness for this disease. She also volunteers for the Home for Little Wanderers where she led a hat, coat, and toy drive for the orphanage. Maddison also raised over $3,000 over 3 years for this worthwhile organization. She is the President and Founder of Feed Forward providing food for the homeless. These achievements are a testimony to her dedication to community.
