In November, Massachusetts State Fire Marshal Jon M. Davine and Massachusetts Firefighting Academy Director Jeffrey P. Winn presented certificates of completion to graduating members of MFA Call/Volunteer Recruit Firefighter Training Class #108 tonight.

Among those graduates were Charles Roche, Jacob Snow, and Dennis Shea of the Upton Fire Department. 

The 26 recruits joined the ranks of more than 3,000 firefighters who have graduated from the MFA’s Call/Volunteer Recruit Firefighter Training Program, which was launched in 2003 to deliver a standard recruit training curriculum, meeting national standards, on nights and weekends.

Members of Class #108 represented the fire departments of Ayer, Boxborough, Carlisle, Dunstable, Holliston, Hopedale, Hubbardston, Lancaster, Oxford, Sutton, Townsend, Tyngsborough, Upton, West Boylston, and Weston.
