Efforts of Friends of Milford Fourth of July Parade entertains many

This year’s Fourth of July parade attendees were treated to a day to remember. The weather was perfect, the parade lineup was chuck full of participants, and the streets were lined with thousands of people celebrating America’s independence.

“So many smiling faces and festive moods,” said Ray Auger, co-chair of the Friends of the Milford Fourth of July Parade. “We ended up with more entries than we anticipated, so that was nice.”

Auger said the parade is funded by local sponsorships, fundraisers and two generous donations from Fiesta Shows from when Milford hosted their carnival a couple years ago. “But in the future, we'll be relying solely on sponsorships and annual fundraisers like our pub crawls and bingo nights,” he said.

Auger said the Friends appreciate the efforts of everyone who turned out for, and participated in, the parade.

“We just want to thank everyone in attendance and those who brought so much entertainment and enjoyment to the spectators.”
