On Sunday, Feb. 18, at 2 p.m., the Mendon Historical Museum (15 Hastings St.) will host “The Tragic and True 1778 Crime Story” presented by storyteller Sari Bitttocks.

Learn about the fascinating scandal that led to the unfortunate demise of Joshua Spooner at the hands of his wife Bathsheba Spooner in Brookfield. But the real question is why was Bathsheba really silenced and put to death? You be the judge.

The event is free but reservations are suggested by emailing [email protected] Snow date is Feb. 25.
