Story contributed
It had been over 50 years since their high school graduation!
On Sept. 30, 2023, about 60 alumni and guests celebrated this milestone at the Hopedale Country Club. The fun-filled evening was an incredible success thanks to the working committee led by Chairperson, Susan Federico DiVitto. Others serving on the committee included David Demanche, Lou Ann Leavitt D’Amico, Paul Gattoni, John “Jack” McNeil, Gena Bowen Marohn, Stephen Marohn, Sheila Disabito Lewis, Bonnie Herlihy Stuart, Francesca Consoletti Cassasanta, and Paul Rao.
The enchanted evening included dinner, dancing, socializing, and reminiscing with many who had not seen each other since they donned their caps and gowns.
Thanks to the generosity of class members, several hundred dollars were raised for a scholarship to be awarded to a deserving graduate from Milford High School. The scholarship is in memory of 1973 graduate and football standout David “Tiger” D’Amico, who left us far too soon.
We also want to recognize and thank the local businesses that donated items to raise money toward the scholarship: Restaurant 89, TC & Company Hair Salon, Blackstone National Golf Club, and Oliva’s Market. Thanks to our many sponsors including LongHorn Steakhouse, Applebee’s Grill + Bar, Liquor World, 99 Restaurant, Restaurant 45, Hopedale Pizza Market, Galliford’s Restaurant & Tavern, Hannaford, Prezo Grille & Bar, Alicante Restaurant, Gene’s Variety, Herbs Make Scents Tea, and DoubleTree by Hilton.
The MHS Class of ‘73 would also like to thank DJ Spiezio who provided nonstop entertainment throughout the evening and the talented and attentive staff of the Hopedale Country Club.
