December events at the Mendon Historical Society

Members of the Mendon Historical Society have been busy setting up new displays and planning for remainder of the year.
We are happy to announce that we will host The Lion’s Club “Winter Solstice Holiday Bazaar” at the Museum on Dec. 1 and 2 along with other vendors. This will be the first time the Lion’s Club has moved their Christmas Fair to the Museum. We hope everyone will come to the museum and see all the wonderful items the Lion’s club members and other vendors have to offer. This is a good way to do some early holiday shopping.
On Friday evening, Dec. 1 Members of the Historical Society will be on hand to serve hot cider, hot chocolate and goodies at the Old Museum as we await Santa’s arrival. The Old Museum, located at Founder’s Park, is the site of Santa’s visit. We are inviting everyone to come and join us for some hot beverages and cookies
On Sunday, Dec. 3 we will be offering a demonstration and a chance to make a live Boxwood tree for your Holiday decorating. Nikki Colaizzi, a florist from Douglas will be on hand to instruct us. We have space for a limited group at the museum: and will collect a small fee of $12 to cover the cost of materials. If interested please call 508-244-7849 to reserve your space and make a live tree for your home decorations.
We have several programs in the planning stage for the New Year. We are also planning on scheduled days when friends can come in and check out our many displays and artifacts.
Please check out our website and Facebook account as more information becomes available
